Partial renovation of the Panorama Sauna, Waterfall Sauna, and Birch Sauna
As part of the Josef Wund thermal spa group, one of the leading developers and operators of thermal spas and aquatic leisure worlds in Germany, Badeparadies Schwarzwald sets standards in terms of quality, a feel-good atmosphere, and relaxation.
The management of Badeparadies Schwarzwald was initially looking for a nearby sauna specialist who could provide the Badeparadies Schwarzwald team with long-term on-site support. In particular, for the upcoming inspection and the associated renovation of the Panorama, Birch, and Waterfall saunas, the Badeparadies Schwarzwald team was looking for a professional.

New textile sauna
Bio sauna made of sauna board panels in oak with special benches in a decorative curved shape. The backrest with color-changing LED backlighting creates an atmospheric ambiance. The fixed glazing provides an unobstructed view of the attractive outdoor area with pond.

Nestled in the idyllic landscape of the Black Forest highlands, Badeparadies Schwarzwald is a unique destination that combines relaxation, adventure, and wellness. In three experience areas, guests can enjoy action and fun at Galaxy Schwarzwald, with more than 25 water attractions, as well as pure relaxation at the Palm Oasis, surrounded by tropical palms and turquoise-blue water. Challenge
The project’s challenge was the fast and smooth implementation of the partial renovation of the three saunas. The work in the saunas had to be completed within the specified maintenance period, as subsequent operations could not be disrupted. The considerable size of the three saunas required manpower.
Our work
The sauna benches in the three saunas - Panorama Sauna, Waterfall Sauna, and Birch Sauna - were completely renewed. High-quality abachi bench slats (83/25 mm) with open cross battens were used to ensure optimal air circulation.
• Panorama Sauna: The existing substructure was reinforced and partially renewed wherever possible. The post structure was fitted with metal post bases, and the support structure was completely replaced. In addition, a reinforced platform was installed in the entrance area. The side construction panels were sanded and clad with abachi bench slats.
• Waterfall Sauna: The benches were rebuilt on the existing foundation points and mounted on metal post bases. Individual benches were designed to fold up, with stainless steel hinges.
• Birch Sauna: The entire substructure was newly built and mounted on metal post bases. Here too, individual benches were designed to fold up with stainless steel hinges.
• New textile sauna: Bio sauna made from oak sauna board panels with special benches made of abachi wood in a decorative curved shape, including the substructure. Backlit backrest with LED color-changing light. Fixed glazing.

Conclusion
The partial renovation of the Panorama, Waterfall, and Birch saunas at Badeparadies Schwarzwald was successfully completed on schedule during the maintenance period. Guests at Badeparadies Schwarzwald, as well as the management team, are delighted with the implementation of the
project. With their new benches, the saunas now have a fresh look, while the original character of each individual themed sauna has not been compromised by the partial renovation. The goal of continuing to be a premier destination in the Black Forest for wellness, relaxation, and bathing fun can therefore be maintained after the partial renovation.
