Soothing warmth with infrared
Infrared radiation
Infrared radiation is natural radiation. We encounter it every day in many different ways. The sun emits infrared radiation just like a fireplace or a tiled stove.
Infrared refers to heat rays that are not visible. With a wavelength of 780 to 3000 nanometers, they are below visible light and above UV rays. Hence the term “infra,” which means “below” in Latin. Infrared radiation transports heat exclusively.
Our infrared radiators can be integrated as a seat with an ergonomic back radiator or as a ceiling radiator for a relaxed reclining position. Naturally, a combination of both variants is also possible. Whether you choose a compact infrared cabin or a freestanding single lounger is entirely up to you.

Infrared in the sauna
Those who enjoy sweating in their sauna but do not want to miss out on the occasional heat treatment provided by infrared rays can have infrared heaters installed in their sauna. Individually designed, custom-built compact solutions with integrated infrared heaters make the wellness experience possible even when space is limited.
The infrared heaters can be integrated both as ceiling radiators for a relaxed lying position and as an infrared seat, and controlled via the special sauna control system. For evenly distributed, pleasant warmth in the sauna, a base temperature can also be set on the sauna heater. We will be happy to advise you on the various options, installation types, and operating principles.

Infrared - Subranges
Infrared radiation can be divided into three ranges:
- A: Short-wave infrared radiation A with a wavelength of 780 - 1,400 nm
- B: Medium-wave infrared radiation B with a wavelength of 1400 - 3,000 nm
- C: Long-wave infrared radiation C with a wavelength of over 3,000 nm
With a penetration depth of only approx. 0.1 mm, infrared radiation C is absorbed directly by the epidermis. Infrared radiation B penetrates approx. 0.5 mm as far as the dermis, but even here it cannot yet be said to have a deep-reaching effect. Only infrared radiation A, with a penetration depth of approx. 4 - 5 mm, reaches the subcutaneous tissue, where it produces a deep-reaching effect.

Infrared heat - health aspect
The mode of action of the infrared radiators is based on gently warming the skin. The deep-heat radiators of the Philips Vitae infrared lamp system can stimulate the cells, thereby promoting blood flow and metabolism and improving the supply of oxygen. It is generally reported to strengthen the immune system, activate the metabolism, and strengthen the cardiovascular system. In addition, infrared heat radiation may be helpful for chronic pain, such as back, joint, or muscle pain, or for skin problems (psoriasis or neurodermatitis).
