Complete renovation of the entire wellness area
Hilton Frankfurt Airport stands out for its unique location directly above Frankfurt Airport’s ICE railway station and its quick connection to Frankfurt city center. In addition to its convenient transport links, the hotel offers guests numerous opportunities for rest and relaxation, including a fitness center open around the clock and a spacious wellness area with a sauna and steam room.
To bring this area to a new level in terms of both design and technology, MANZ DÖBELE was commissioned to oversee and implement the extensive renovation. Together with the Hilton Frankfurt Airport team and selected partners from our network of skilled tradespeople, we developed a detailed project plan for the complete redesign of the wellness area.
Renovation of the wellness area
New sauna with insulation panels made of Canadian hemlock, a Finnish sauna heater in a high-quality stainless steel finish, and a dimmable light strip in the wall-ceiling corner.
Challenge
One of the project’s greatest challenges was the complete renovation of the wellness area within a tightly defined timeframe. Since the sauna, steam room, and adjacent areas could not be used during the work, the closure had to be kept to a minimum.
Precise scheduling, exact coordination of the trades involved, and the timely completion of all work were therefore crucial. At the same time, it was essential to consistently uphold the high quality and design standards of Hilton Frankfurt Airport. This resulted in a modern wellness area within the specified timeframe, combining functionality, comfort, and sophisticated design.
- Custom Planning:
The spatial conditions, as well as the functional and design requirements, were analyzed in detail beforehand. Based on this, an individual concept was developed that was optimally tailored to the available spaces and the hotel's needs. - Innovative Technologies:
Modern control technology, lighting systems specifically tailored to the sauna area, and high-quality sound technology provide contemporary comfort and create a pleasant ambiance for guests. - High-Quality Materials:
Quality, durability, and a premium appearance were the key considerations in selecting the materials. Large-scale elements made of Canadian hemlock, combined with elegant glass surfaces, give the wellness area a warm, exclusive, and modern atmosphere. - Optimized Spatial Design:
The targeted arrangement of the individual wellness functions made the best possible use of the available space. The sauna, steam room, and relaxation areas come together to form a functional and aesthetically harmonious overall concept.

Our work
MANZ DÖBELE carried out key work for the complete renovation of the wellness area as part of the project. This included both the professional dismantling of the existing facility and the construction of the new Finnish sauna.
From coordinating the individual work steps and installing the sauna to integrating the technical and design components, the work was precisely coordinated. Close collaboration with the Hilton team and the project partners involved enabled efficient implementation within the specified schedule.
The result is a high-quality, modern wellness area that blends harmoniously into the sophisticated ambience of Hilton Frankfurt Airport and offers guests an appealing retreat for rest and relaxation.
